Money Smart - Community Spirit Bank

How do you think about money? Do you manage it wisely? Savings? Investments? Are you Money$mart?

Our Financial Scholars Program, Money$mart, is our commitment to growing financial education in our communities. By partnering with the award-winning Banzai Financial Literacy Program, we are providing ten area schools with online financial education courses to help students work towards financially responsible futures.

There are a lot of valuable life skills that revolve around money and financial education. Paying rent, buying a car, learning about credit scores and the stock market, and planning for retirement are all important for successful-financial futures.

At Community Spirit Bank, we believe in giving back to our communities and encouraging our area youth. We’re here to help young adults become Money$mart!

Tiger Branch

The Community Spirit Bank Tiger Branch opened on the campus of Red Bay High School January 17, 2017. It is student-led and staffed by enterprising young Tiger Tellers. Students, faculty and staff utilize the school branch to carry out banking transactions and learn more about banking in everyday life. We hope to further financial education at all ages, from elementary through high school by bringing banking to the classroom.

Belgreen Bulldog Branch

The Community Spirit Bank Bulldog Branch opened on the campus of Belgreen High School February 19, 2019. The Bulldog branch is our second student-led, in-school bank and operates daily throughout the school year for students, faculty and staff to conduct banking transactions. We believe the hands on learning experience gained by students, exposed to banking early on, is of utmost importance. Bringing the bank experience to students each day is just one more way we are furthering our financial literacy mission.
